HISTORY
Bedford Loan and Deposit Bank opened its doors in Bedford, Kentucky at 45 highway 42 East on November 2, 1891 as a full service bank.
It was not until 85 years later, that a second branch was established. On April 5, 1976, 1029 Brownsboro Road became the home of the Sligo Branch.
After serving Trimble County for 111 years, Bedford Loan and Deposit Bank again opened doors to more prospective customers. On June 17, 2002, a third branch was established in the heart of Oldham County in LaGrange, Kentucky at 1010 New Moody Lane.
SAFETY AND SOUNDNESS
Throughout the years, Bedford Loan and Deposit Bank has always strived for excellence in meeting our customers' needs. In November 2005, BauerFinancial, the nation's leading independent bank rating firm, proudly announced that we earned our highest 5-star superior rating for the 54th consecutive quarter. Having earned this prestigious rating consistently for ten years or longer, we have positioned ourselves into the even more impressive group of Exceptional Performance Banks.
"This award, based on our analysis of current financial data as well as historical data,
is an award of merit, pure and simple, and Bedford Loan and Deposit Bank has
earned it," stated Karen Dorway, president of the research firm. "Unlike some
industries in which ratings can be purchased, BauerFinancial adheres to a strict set
of financial standards in assigning its ratings. No bank pays for its rating, nor can
any bank elude it," she continued.
